An Avondale woman died Sunday night from injuries sustained in a three-vehicle escort in shanghai on Interstate 10 near Tonopah, officials said.

A Dodge pick-up was driving east on I-10 about 7 p.m. near 339th Avenue when a tire came off the truck, causing the driver to lose control and hit an eastbound Ford van, Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Harold Sanders said.
