In China, mainly low end MCU. However, some IC vendor is producing low
end and low cost 16 bit MCU such as 48 or 64 pin such as H8/3687, H8/36014 etc
Another  point is MCU will be more common to use the flash version because more efficient development and more easy field upgrade.
