Role Summary:
The Firmware Integration Test Engineer is responsible for testing the implantable firmware against its intended design.
Responsibilities:
The Integration Test Engineer has the following responsibilities:
q Analyzes firmware design
q Documents integration test protocols
q Develops integration tests
q Documents integration test results
q Submits SCRs for issues found in firmware design or test assets
q Verifies SCRs submitted by peers
q Communicates potential issues related to test results to the firmware design engineer
q Ensures root cause is determined for every test failure by performing analysis and communicating with the appropriate system, firmware, and hardware engineers
Required Skills:
q Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
q Minimum of 2 years of industry experience preferably with exposure to regulated/process driven software development/testing
q Experience with communications protocols such as TCP/IP
q Experience in C/C++ programming languages
q Experience in real-time embedded systems
q Experience with hardware/firmware integration
q Experience writing test cases or test scripts for real-time embedded systems
q Experience in debugging test failures
q Ability to learn automated testing tools/methodology
q Ability to learn cardiac domain-specific features
q Attention to details
q Good problem solving skills
q Good oral and written technical communication skills. Proficient in oral and written English
q Able to effectively work in a regulated environment
Desired/Optional Skills:
q Knowledge in cardiac domain
q Knowledge or experience in fault tolerant design
q Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
q Experience in working with global/geographically distributed teams
