JOB TITLE: Customer Applications Engineer
STATUS: Permanent DEPARTMENT : Technical Support
LOCATION: Shanghai RESPONSIBLE TO : Customer Applications Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* To accept technical questions and issues from customers via the Xilinx hotline (web, telephone and email).
* To ensure that customers can complete their Xilinx designs as quickly as possible by providing appropriate workarounds and solutions to a wide spectrum of design problems.
* To document such workarounds in the form of Change Requests and Solutions Records.
* To support fellow engineers by providing strategic support services such as design evaluations and product conversion.
* To provide assistance at customer and internal staff training events.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
* A Degree in Electronic Engineering with experience of PC systems is essential.
* Must have strong interpersonal, telephone, written and group communication skills and be fluent in English.
* Good analytical & problem solving skills are required along with self-motivation, and demonstrated successful team work.
* A recent Graduate with a service-oriented approach, a desire to solve problems, and a concern to support customers in a dynamic and commercial engineering environment would be an ideal candidate.
